A confrontation with Chaos results in our trust and understanding of the laws of nature becoming unmoored from our perceptions. The earth falls from beneath our feet. We are left floating in a void of the unknown. Who can we trust? How do we know what's real? Who are we? And how do we regain our ability to "be" again? 

Once known as "Shell Shock" WebMD defines Posttraumatic stress disorder as a "serious condition that can develop after a person has experienced or witnessed a traumatic or terrifying event in which there was serious physical harm or threat. PTSD is a lasting consequence of traumatic ordeals that cause intense fear, helplessness, or horror. Examples of things that can bring on PTSD include sexual or physical assault, the unexpected death of a loved one, an accident, war, or natural disaster. Families of victims can develop PTSD, as can emergency personnel and rescue workers."

That's why our design team only creates plushies related to mental health issues with which they have direct experience. In cases where our team does not have direct experience, we assemble an external team of experts to help guide our creative process.
